While growing up in Yonkers, New York, Joe Aiello always
wanted to know what was for dinner and who was cooking. His grandmother owned
the apartment house they lived in and that gave him plenty of opportunity to
learn many different ways of cooking. Joe always dreamed of opening his own
Italian restaurant. The first Italian Village was originally started in
Davie, Florida in 1970, and Joe's dreams were beginning to come
true.
In 1990 Joe and his wife decided to move to Daytona Beach
and open a new family restaurant. The owner wanted a "neighborhood
style" restaurant, a place a family could
go and feel welcome and have a
good home cooked meal. The whole family worked there to make it the best Italian
food possible. We had 17 wonderful years at this location. But it was
time to move on.
Today, the Italian Village has a
new decor and full service catering is still available. The whole family works together on a daily basis to bring
you the best quality food and service you will find in the Ormond / Daytona
Beach area. Stop by
and meet the family.
